About The Position

This role involves providing hands-on leadership to the Revenue Accounting department, ensuring accurate and timely reporting of all revenues and associated gaming taxes. The position requires preparing journal entries, assisting with general ledger reconciliation, and managing tracking records. The Supervisor will also be responsible for preparing weekly gaming tax returns, participating in audits, and managing department staff through interviewing, hiring, development, and evaluation. Maintaining confidentiality of financial and company information, ensuring guest and team member safety, and complying with all policies and procedures are also key aspects of this role.

Requirements

  • Experience in revenue accounting or a related field.
  • Knowledge of general ledger reconciliation.
  • Experience preparing journal entries.
  • Familiarity with gaming taxes and reporting.
  • Experience with audits.
  • Supervisory or leadership experience.
  • Strong communication skills.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality.
  • Knowledge of casino operations and events.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain a pleasant, friendly, and welcoming attitude toward all external and internal guests at all times.
  • Delegate authority and assign responsibilities and work schedules to department staff.
  • Provide hands-on leadership to Revenue Accounting department.
  • Prepare and post revenue journal entries for all revenues and comp and coupon expenses.
  • Assist with reconciliation of general ledger.
  • Ensure timely, complete, and correct reporting of all revenue and associated gaming taxes.
  • Prepare weekly gaming tax returns.
  • Maintain tracking records for all revenue.
  • Prepare for and participate in audits.
  • Participate in interviewing, hiring, developing, and evaluating department staff.
  • Recommend and administer disciplinary action as necessary.
  • Timely communicate all Revenue Accounting issues.
  • Maintain strict confidentiality relative to financial information, operating systems, company policies and procedures, marketing plans, and team member and guest information.
  • Prepare and deliver reports as needed.
  • Have complete knowledge of all casino events and promotional activities.
  • Ensure the safety and security of all guests and team members.
  • Comply with all policies and procedures established by Casino and department management.
  • Other duties as assigned or any reasonable request from any member of management.
