About The Position

This role is responsible for overseeing daily retail operations, ensuring excellent customer service, managing inventory, and leading a team of retail staff. The Supervisor will also be involved in purchasing, financial oversight of cashiers, staff development, and ensuring compliance with company policies and industry standards.

Requirements

  • Must be available to work weekends, holidays, and nights as scheduled.

Responsibilities

  • Provide guests with the highest level of customer service.
  • Maintain awareness of security in all shops.
  • Keep track of, account for and replenish all clothing, souvenirs, etc.; stock merchandise, logging all items received, damaged and transferred for end of month inventory count.
  • Handle all complaints and problems that may occur in a courteous and professional manner.
  • Complete and submit all paperwork that is due on a daily, weekly, or monthly to the Retail Manager.
  • Ensure proper pricing of merchandise.
  • Oversee cashiers’ variances solving transactions and mistakes, and audit cashier banks.
  • Maintain a smooth selling floor.
  • Ensure employees are implementing store promotions and sales contests.
  • Ensure all “Specialty Brand” programs are followed and standards upheld.
  • Responsible for store replenishment of goods; including buying to realistic ROS (rate of sale), following sales and turnover goals, creating purchase orders and paying invoices.
  • Assist with monthly inventory.
  • Complete and issue timely evaluations for subordinates.
  • Conduct formal and informal training for subordinates.
  • Conduct formal and informal coaching and counseling with subordinates.
  • Reward and recognize superior performers.
  • Ensure that employees work safely and follow all safety rules.
  • Ensure compliance with relevant laws and regulations as well as company policies and procedures.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of industry and competition.
  • Ensure effective communication within the department and company.
  • Hold subordinates accountable for established performance expectations.
  • Motivate and develop staff; provide advice and guidance as appropriate.
  • Comply with and enforce compliance with the company’s recycling program standards.
  • Carry out daily directives given by the Retail Manager and/or Assistant Retail Manager.
  • Interviews, selects, hires and retains superior employees.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
