Central Maine Healthcare (CMH) is an integrated healthcare delivery system serving approximately 400,000 residents across central, western, and midcoast Maine. The system includes Central Maine Medical Center (CMMC), a regional referral hospital, Bridgton Hospital, and Rumford Hospital, two critical access hospitals. CMH is also home to the Maine College of Health Professions, Maine's first nursing and medical imaging school. This position leads and directs the technical personnel, activities, and equipment of the Adult Cardiopulmonary services. The role promotes healing of acutely ill patients whose cardiac or pulmonary systems have been compromised, through respiratory care, diagnostic testing, psycho-social support, and patient education. The Supervisor encourages and enhances the progression and efficient operation of the Cardiopulmonary Services Department, treating patients from newborn to older adults. They assist with day-to-day operations, referring complex issues to management. The role involves performing diagnostic testing, including arterial punctures for blood gas analysis, and requires knowledge of ABG analyzers. Abilities include using mechanical ventilators, bi-level ventilation equipment, peak flow meters, and performing respiratory assessments.
