About The Position

Oversees the daily functions of the Respiratory Care Department in the provision of respiratory care. This role coordinates daily operations, including quality assurance, performance improvement, productivity monitoring, and staffing assignments. It also involves making recommendations for hiring, evaluation, coaching, promotion, discipline, and discharge of employees, adhering to HR policies and scheduling. The position requires preparing, reviewing, and revising department standards of operation and care per regulatory requirements, administering therapeutic respiratory care procedures, and ensuring compliance with and preparation for regulatory agencies.

Requirements

• Minimum Bachelor’s degree or 3 years of relevant experience and/or education as determined by the company in lieu of bachelor's degree.
• Pennsylvania state licensure as a Respiratory Therapist.
• Certified Respiratory Therapist (CRT).
• Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT).
• 3 years in a clinical setting.
• CPR – American Heart Association.
• Act 34 Criminal Background Clearance Certificate.
• Act 33 Child Abuse Clearance Certificate.
• Act 73 FBI Fingerprinting Criminal Background Clearance Certificate.

Nice To Haves

• Master’s Degree.
• Previous supervisory experience.

Responsibilities

• Performs or makes recommendations relative to hiring, evaluation, coaching, promoting, disciplining and discharging employees by following established HR policies, scheduling.
• Prepare, review and revise department standards of operation and care per regulatory requirements.
• Administers therapeutic respiratory care procedures according to hospital and department policies.
• Ensures compliance with and prepares the department for regulatory agencies.
• Performs other duties as assigned or required.
