Reporting to the Manager, Conservation Land Planning, and working closely with the Director, Parks, Lands and Community Engagement on corporate property and legal matters, the Supervisor, Realty and Greenspace Acquisition leads CVC’s real estate program and supports the organization’s land conservation and greenspace growth objectives. This position is responsible for leading all land acquisition and disposition activities, including developing and implementing land acquisition strategies, identifying opportunities to expand CVC’s conservation land base, and managing complex real estate transactions. The role leads confidential negotiations with landowners, municipalities, developers, and partners, and oversees property acquisitions, dispositions, and associated due diligence processes. This position is also responsible for the development, negotiation, and administration of property-related agreements, including easements, leases, licenses, and purchase and sale agreements, while coordinating and directing legal counsel as required. The Supervisor also provides strategic oversight of matters affecting lands and interests through the review of development proposals, land use requests, and permissions involving CVC-owned lands. As a member of the Leadership Team, the Supervisor provides expert advice to senior management and the Board of Directors on real estate, property, and legal matters, including confidential in-camera discussions. This position combines strategic planning, relationship management, negotiation, legal drafting and corporate real estate experience to ensure CVC’s land assets are protected, responsibly managed, and aligned with CVC’s long-term conservation goals.
