About The Position
GreenSpace Lawn & Landscape is seeking an experienced Shop Mechanic Manager to oversee all shop operations, equipment maintenance, and fleet reliability while leading a team of mechanics in a fast-paced, growing environment. This is an opportunity to play a critical leadership role by ensuring our equipment, vehicles, and machinery are safe, reliable, and ready to perform every day.
Requirements
- 6+ years of mechanic experience working with trucks, equipment, or heavy machinery.
- 4+ years of leadership or shop management experience.
- Proven ability to lead, coach, and develop a high-performing team.
- Strong understanding of preventative maintenance programs and repair scheduling.
- Experience managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Comfortable using technology and maintenance software.
- Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to read and interpret plans and technical documents; Aspire CRM experience preferred.
- A proactive leader with a strong sense of urgency and commitment to quality.
- Valid driver's license and background required.

Responsibilities
- Lead shop operations while fostering a positive, accountable culture while offering top customer service to the team of associates who serve our customers.
- Maintenance and repair of small engines (required).
- Oversee preventative maintenance programs for fleet vehicles, heavy equipment, and machinery.
- Schedule, prioritize, and manage repairs to minimize downtime.
- Develop and improve maintenance procedures and shop efficiencies.
- Monitor maintenance budgets, expenses, inventory, and equipment replacement needs.
- Perform regular inspections to identify maintenance issues before they become costly problems.
- Ensure all repairs are completed safely, accurately, and efficiently.
- Maintain maintenance logs, repair documentation, and daily progress reports.
- Partner with company leadership to support operational goals and long-term planning.
- Hire, coach, develop, and evaluate shop personnel.
- Champion workplace safety by ensuring compliance with company safety policies and OSHA standards.
