About The Position

Sentara Virginia Beach General Hospital is now hiring an evening Supervisor, Patient Care Services for the Psychiatric Emergency Response Services. This position will assume a leadership role in staff development and serve as subject matter expert in areas of expertise linking staff training, education and development to strategic imperatives. This is a hybrid position, requiring candidates to live in the Virginia Beach area.

Requirements

Master’s Degree – Social Work, Counseling, or other related field
Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) or Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW)
Three years of outpatient or inpatient experience (required)
Three years of Healthcare experience (required)

Responsibilities

Provides education, training and research, and clinical support services for clinical or business team members and other department personnel.
Performs essential activities to achieve quality standards and as required by safety protocols or accreditation standards.
Demonstrates clinical knowledge and skills to meet standards and to coach or teach others specific to the designated specialty.
Works collaboratively as a team leader with facility/division leaders, physicians, other department personnel and community healthcare providers to achieve high quality and high satisfaction healthcare outcomes for patients.
Licensed professionals are required to keep their license current in the state of practice.
