This role supports the production department by ensuring the timely deployment of a people development plan, assuring team competencies, and enforcing strict compliance with standard operating procedures (SOPs). The supervisor is responsible for maintaining a safe work environment, updating work instructions, and ensuring processes run in accordance with SOPs and other documentation. They must also manage activities with environmental impact according to the environmental management system, achieve quality objectives including GMP adherence, sanitation, food safety, and product quality checks, and actively participate in preventing and correcting quality-related errors. Additionally, the role involves enforcing personnel hygiene and safety, coaching employees through an NCE approach, daily target review and variance reporting, and developing action plans for continuous improvement. Facilitating seamless handoffs, communicating key information, and ensuring continuous line controls with immediate corrective actions are also crucial. The supervisor will manage employee and industrial relations, ensure adequate skill distribution for the production plan, and oversee the timely launch of new products. They will also coordinate with quality, engineering, and administration for installation maintenance, review maintenance effectiveness, and prioritize maintenance and repairs to maximize efficiency. Other duties may be assigned.
