About The Position

Supervise and coordinate the activities of Production personnel. This role involves overseeing the day-to-day operations of repair, fabrication, and Part 145 areas, developing and implementing build and repair processes for assemblies and subassemblies to standardize construction, and assigning work orders to technicians. The position requires tracking work order progress, managing workflow through production tracking systems, and coordinating with other departments like Assembly, Inventory Control, and Engineering to ensure parts availability and the development of necessary tools and fixtures. A key responsibility is developing and maintaining a training program for Production personnel to ensure they meet quality and efficiency standards. The role also involves tracking and analyzing work order hours to identify and correct production deficiencies.

Requirements

  • High school graduate; degree in electronics preferred.
  • Minimum five years' experience in production supervision.
  • Must possess strong work ethic, administrative, communication, organizational and interpersonal skills.
  • Must be flexible and confident in decision making.
  • Ability to provide leadership and supervise a team.
  • Ability to adapt to a dynamic work environment.
  • Familiarity with basic computer operation and production workflow management.
  • Basic knowledge of electronics assembly procedures with the ability to read blueprints and data sheets.

Responsibilities

  • Supervise day-to-day operations of the repair, fabrication and Part 145 areas.
  • Develop and implement build and repair processes for assemblies and subassemblies to standardize construction.
  • Assign work orders to individual technicians, obtain fixtures, special tools, and materials required to complete the construction and track work order progress.
  • Utilize production tracking systems such as the Work In Process schedule to manage workflow through the department and detect production deficiencies.
  • Coordinate with other department supervisors such as Assembly and Inventory Control to ensure parts availability prior to required completion date.
  • Coordinate with the Engineering Department to develop special tools and fixtures needed to assemble, repair and test Howell products.
  • Develop, implement and maintain a training program to ensure Production personnel are properly trained in associated equipment operation and assembly procedures to meet established quality and efficiency standards.
  • Track and analyze work order hours to detect and correct production deficiencies.
