This position holds critical responsibility for supervising power dispatch operations, ensuring PSE's transmission system and generation resources operate safely, reliably, and efficiently at all times. You will play a vital role in collaborating with a wide range of internal and external stakeholders to enhance the Load Office's ability to support power system reliability, employee safety, and regulatory compliance with (Federal Energy Regulatory Commission), NERC (North American Electric Reliability Corporation) and WECC (Western Electricity Coordinating Council) requirements. Given the critical nature of this work, this role may require shift or non-standard hours depending on the specific position being filled. The Load Office is the nerve center of PSE's power system—a 24/7 real-time operation responsible for monitoring, operating, and controlling PSE's high-voltage transmission system (55kV and above) and the company's thermal and renewable generation assets. As a NERC-registered Balancing Authority and Transmission Operator within the WECC region, the Load Office plays an essential role in maintaining grid stability and reliability across our service territory, making this a high-impact position at the heart of PSE's energy delivery mission.
