About The Position

Tactical coordination, alignment, and leadership of operational resources toward daily successful accomplishment of safety, quality, delivery, productivity, and materials utilization action plans and objectives, as is vertically integrated with strategy deployment objectives. This role involves supervising all production operations on an assigned shift within the facility, including machinery, assembly, or material handling operations to achieve desired quality and operational output. The position requires monitoring the daily schedule, organizing daily assignments, directing personnel, and ensuring quality system compliance. It also involves working closely with Department Managers and/or Supervisors, employee supervision, training, development, and performance management. The role drives Safety, Continuous Improvement, Lean Manufacturing, and 5S initiatives, and includes conducting performance reviews and setting development plans. Team building, mentoring, and fact/data-driven decision making are key aspects of this role. The Supervisor is also expected to be able to run production equipment as needed to ensure 100% on-time delivery and provide operational support to management and associates.

Requirements

  • BS degree and/or applicable vocational experience
  • Minimum 5 years supervisory / leadership experience in a manufacturing environment
  • Computer skills required: MSOffice, Oracle, SPC programs, etc.
  • Effective communication and written skills.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of Strategy Deployment and LEAN principles.
  • Ability to be flexible in assigned tasks, duties, schedules, locations, and travel
  • Demonstrated ability to motivate, train and develop skill-set for manufacturing supervision, manufacturing technical resources, and manufacturing production associates

Responsibilities

  • Supervise all production operations on an assigned shift within the facility including machinery, assembly, or material handling operations to achieve desired quality and operational output.
  • Monitoring daily schedule utilizing manufacturing and process controls
  • Organizing daily assignments and direct personnel to achieve productivity goals
  • Ensuring quality system compliance, timely MRB disposition
  • Work closely with Department Managers and/or Supervisors to achieve goals for each department in the organization.
  • Responsible for employee supervision, training, development and performance management.
  • Drives Safety, Continuous Improvement, Lean Manufacturing, 5S initiatives.
  • Organizational behavior interactions, conducting performance reviews and setting development plans
  • Monitoring and implementing safety programs
  • Team building, mentoring Lead Hand (s) and production employees
  • Fact/data driven decision making on operational challenges
  • Utilizing MS Office applications (Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint), Oracle and ADP
  • Ability to run production equipment as needed to ensure 100% on time delivery
  • Provide operational support to the Operations Manager, Value Streams Manager, Production Associates, and support resources throughout the Value Streams as is required
  • Other duties and responsibilities may be required for the performance of this position
