About The Position

Give & Go Prepared Foods Corp. is a leading and growing North American manufacturer of baked goods for over 30 years and a proud member of the Mondelēz family. The company is seeking a Supervisor, Planning to lead the materials planning team. This role is responsible for ensuring operational and production continuity by overseeing all materials planning activities, including forecasting components and ingredients with suppliers, inventory management, purchase requisitions and orders, inbound materials shipments, and vendor performance management. The goal is to optimize materials costs in alignment with Give and Go business objectives. Requirements

  • Completion of a college diploma in Supply Chain Management, Engineering, Business, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 4 years of proven experience in Supply Chain management, specifically in Materials Planning, Scheduling, S&OP, or Operations.
  • Strong communication skills (verbal and written; strong listening skills).
  • Strong leadership skills, including building strong relationships.
  • Strong judgment, analysis, and problem-solving skills, with the ability to make decisions.
  • Good ability to motivate and empower team members by providing feedback and recognition.
  • Strong ability to influence stakeholders and manage conflict.
  • Ability to prioritize demands and shift between conflicting priorities in a fast-paced work environment.
  • Knowledge of manufacturing and equipment for food processing and high-speed packaging, as well as Bakery Manufacturing including ingredients.
  • Proficiency in computer systems (MS Office, Excel, Access, ERP systems).

Nice To Haves

  • Experience preferably within the Food Manufacturing industry.
  • Working knowledge of Lean/Continuous Improvement experience is an asset.

Responsibilities

  • Use the Master Schedule to generate Materials Requirement Plan (MRP) for all components, packaging, and ingredients needed for production in the next 12 months.
  • Share materials forecast with the Procurement team and key suppliers.
  • Actively manage suppliers, including reviewing shorts, delays, quality problems, and communicating challenges.
  • Assess key suppliers' capacity and capabilities.
  • Manage inventory control for all materials.
  • Collaborate with logistics partners to optimize the utilization of available space.
  • Ensure efficient use of materials to minimize spoilage and expiry.
  • Create and manage purchase requisitions and purchase orders in COUPA.
  • Demonstrate leadership competencies by fostering a positive work environment and culture through People Processes and Tools.
  • Ensure proper onboarding and development of staff by completing induction, providing feedback and coaching, executing PDP dialogues, and engaging in corrective action when required.
  • Ensure job vacancies are filled through required processes and represent the company with integrity during recruitment.
  • Ensure completion of function compliance training and/or SOP training.
  • Develop trusting cross-functional relationships and execute Employee Survey action plans.
  • Lead by example in upholding company values (RDQAS) and holding others accountable.
  • Track vendor performance to ensure they meet Give and Go's needs and highlight any instances of underperformance to the procurement team for corrective action.
