Pathology Phlebotomy Supervisor is responsible for coordinating and managing the activities of phlebotomy staff to ensure high-quality specimen collection, patient safety, and compliance with regulatory standards. Requirements

Associate’s degree in a related field.
Five years phlebotomy experience.

Nice To Haves

Bachelor's degree in a related field preferred.
ASCP/ASPT certification preferred.

Responsibilities

Supervise, schedule, and evaluates phlebotomy personnel.
Provide training, onboarding, and ongoing competency assesments.
Processes specimens accurately (orders tests and provides documentation) adhering to laboratory policies and procedures.
Ensure proper blood collection techniques and specimen handling.
Provides effective communication and if needed feedback with staff members about laboratory issues.
Develops and maintains quality standards and monitors procedures in conformance with requirements of accrediting agencies.
Ensure positive patient interactions and satisfaction.
Address patient concerns or complaints.
Oversees workflow, staffing levels, and productivity.
