About The Position

This role involves fulfilling and mastering the duties of a Pharmacy Technician. The position plans, directs, coordinates, and implements pharmacy services, integrating technician and operational activities in accordance with regulations, pharmacy policies, and procedures. Key responsibilities include performing management functions for Pharmacy Technicians, such as securing technical personnel needs, overseeing IV room operations, providing feedback on practices and performance, assisting with inventory management, and acting as a backup buyer. The role also leads technician onboarding and training for all operational positions, prepares work, rotational, and on-call schedules for pharmacy technicians, oversees the rotations of pharmacy technician students, and serves as a preceptor for Pharmacy Technician Schools. Additionally, the position conducts regularly scheduled Pharmacy Technician meetings for educational or business purposes and disseminates minutes.

Requirements

  • High School, Cert, GED, Trn, Exper.
  • PTCB Certified Pharmacy Technician.
  • Registered Pharmacy Technician.
  • 8 Years of experience as a Pharmacy Technician required.
  • Hospital experience highly preferred.
  • Excellent hospital pharmacy knowledge.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills.
  • Excellent organizational skills.
  • Excellent planning skills.

Nice To Haves

  • Associates degree preferred.
  • Experience coordinating pharmacy technician services highly desirable.
  • Academic experience desirable.

Responsibilities
