About The Position

Located in the Phoenix, Ariz., suburb of Chandler, the Chandler Regional Medical Center is a 429-bed, not-for-profit hospital with more than 2,600 team members and almost 1,000 doctors on staff representing all major specialties. Chandler Regional joined the Dignity Health system in 1999, but has been part of the community for more than 50 years. The hospital includes a Level I Trauma Center, a Heart and Vascular Center, a Wound Healing Center, a Family Birth Center and many additional services. Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Pharmacy is required.
  • Minimum of two (2) years of experience as a Pharmacist in an acute care setting and/or completion of an ASHP-accredited residency program.
  • Registered Pharmacist license.
  • Oversight for an acute care facility requires licensure in the state in which you practice.
  • 1+ year of supervisory or lead experience or successful completion of a Pharmacy Administrative Residency

Nice To Haves

  • Advanced or Master's degree preferred (e.g., Pharm.D.).

Responsibilities

  • Planning, supervising and evaluating the daily operations in the assigned pharmacy facility to provide pharmaceutical care activities and services in accordance with established policies, procedures, standards and regulatory requirements.
  • Ensuring the provision of professional, effective, efficient, safe, and accurate medication distribution practices.
  • Meeting financial objectives in labor, revenue and gross margins.
  • Evaluating department effectiveness.
  • Ensuring optimum staffing levels.
  • Overseeing the workflow of subordinate staff.
  • Meeting regulatory requirements and standards.
  • Performing all pharmacist department activities, as necessary.
