About The Position

The Supervisor Patron & Valet Services is responsible for various personnel functions including hiring, annual reviews, and merit recommendations. This role develops staffing schedules and approves Time and Attendance. The supervisor provides customer service and job-related training to new and existing staff, and coaches individual team members to promote personal growth and service improvement. This position coordinates daily staffing needs with other departmental supervisors to ensure adequate coverage across all venues, and oversees daily financial transactions of Valet staff. The supervisor handles all customer service inquiries, issues, and complaints promptly and professionally, tracking all complements and complaints to recognize patterns for proactive action. Regular inspections of equipment and patron/valet areas are conducted to ensure they remain in good working order. The role assists with Patron and Valet duties to ensure excellent customer service at all times for patients and guests. Input is provided to the Director regarding the compilation of the annual operating and capital equipment budgets, and staff are managed to keep payroll expenses within budgeted hours. Teamwork among all Patron and Valet staff is promoted, with a positive attitude exhibited related to duties and positive interaction with all Medical Center staff. On-call coverage is alternated with other supervisors to ensure adequate weekend coverage. Public facing areas are inspected daily to ensure workplace standards are maintained, and staff are held accountable for keeping work locations neat and free of visible personal items.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED equivalent required
  • Three years supervisory experience in the Patron and Valet industry or in another customer service focused industry preferred.
  • Valid applicable state driver's license.
  • Strong communication skills
  • Familiarity with MS Office products such as Excel and Word
  • Ability to multi-task in a high stress environment
  • Self-motivated
  • Proven ability to work well with others in a team-oriented environment

  • Associate's degree preferred.
