About The Position

The Patient Service Supervisor supervises and coordinates activities of the workers in the patient services areas to ensure timely patient meal deliveries and high levels of customer service. Oversees total food service operation in the absence of other supervisors or leads.

Requirements

  • Food Service Sanitation Manager (FSSM) - ServSafe
  • Certified Food Protection Manager (CFPM) - Varies
  • Food service experience
  • Hospitality industry experience

Responsibilities

  • Monitor activities in diet office, kitchen, dish room, patient food service and patient floor areas to ensure that quality standards are maintained.
  • Responsible for staffing, scheduling, training,and performance management for direct reports.
  • Make work assignments and review and edit work of direct reports.
  • Ensures that department meets all local, state and federal regulatory requirements.
  • Maintain standards of service and discipline according to policies and procedures established within the department.
  • Completes quality checks and evaluations in a timely and accurate manner.
  • Oversee total food service operation in the absence of other supervisors, leads and manager.
  • Plan and manage weekly labor schedules.
  • Maintain budgeted labor hours for respective department.
  • Expedite patient meal tray delivery service.
