Reporting to Director of Patient Financial Services, the Supervisor Patient Access plans, organizes and directs activities associated with Emergency Department patient registration and billing and in patient accounts cashier activities. This role is responsible for determining account balances and arranging payment schedules, and collaborates in planning, developing and implementing systems to facilitate timely and efficient registration, processing and flow of all Emergency Department patients. The supervisor reviews and authorizes requests for uncompensated care and ensures that Emergency Department patient data (demographic, medical, insurance and financial) is completely and accurately coded onto computer records.
