This role is responsible for supervising, directing, and developing the scheduling team. The Supervisor, Patient Access will maintain positive leadership, provide frequent performance feedback, and encourage two-way participation of ideas. They will be responsible for holding employees accountable for results through coaching and development of action plans, and will work cohesively with Senior Leadership on performance management of the team, including reviews, corrective action, mentoring, and performance improvement plans. This role also involves assisting in interviewing and hiring team members, handling escalated phone calls regarding scheduling or paging issues, and communicating company changes and announcements to staff. The Supervisor will monitor and manage the productivity and performance of assigned employees, reporting daily/weekly/monthly department metrics to Senior Leadership. A key aspect of this role is demonstrating empathy towards patient needs and concerns, and training agents to do the same, while ensuring strict confidentiality of all health records and member information in compliance with HIPAA guidelines. The position requires supporting and complying with all company policies and procedures, participating in department meetings (which may include Saturdays), and undertaking special project initiatives and outcomes while meeting deadlines set by Senior Management. The role requires working with sensitive and confidential materials and exercising discretion.
