About The Position

Responsible for managing the daily operations of the Patient Access Service Representative staff and patient flow. Plans, organizes, directs, and evaluates the management of systems and staff for the functions outlined in the job standards below. Maintains productivity levels to allow for timely and accurate completion of all activities. The Froedtert & the Medical College of Wisconsin regional health network is a partnership between Froedtert Health and the Medical College of Wisconsin supporting a shared mission of patient care, innovation, medical research and education. Our health network operates eastern Wisconsin's only academic medical center and adult Level I Trauma center engaged in thousands of clinical trials and studies. The Froedtert & MCW health network, which includes ten hospitals, nearly 2,000 physicians and more than 45 health centers and clinics draw patients from throughout the Midwest and the nation.

Requirements

  • A minimum of 2-3 years of previous experience working in a clinic or other medical office setting is required.
  • Associates Degree in Business, Healthcare or related field is required.
  • Working knowledge of personal computer and other office equipment.
  • Excellent communication skills with demonstrated evidence of leadership and initiative.
  • Ability to interact with people effectively.
  • Proven success at managing a customer service area.
  • Knowledge of management practices, including supervision, hiring and disciplinary procedures.
  • Skill in planning, organizing, delegating and supervising.
  • Strong written and oral communication skills.
  • Ability to take initiative and to exercise independent judgment, decision making and problem solving expertise.

Nice To Haves

  • A minimum of 1 to 2 years previous supervisory experience in a clinic or other medical setting is preferred.
  • Bachelors Degree preferred.
  • In lieu of the educational requirement, 2 years of supervisory experience is required.
