About The Position

The Patient Access Supervisor will be responsible for managing business office functions, accuracy, and efficiency while maintaining a customer and patient focus. This role plays an intricate part in providing analytical expertise for the revenue cycle management process while identifying workflow issues and providing solutions. With sharp attention to detail, one would discern client problems, communicate them, and escalate root cause issues to appropriate parties. This role will be responsible for reporting and analyzing daily, weekly and monthly reporting and KPI metrics providing subject matter expertise to help solve problems and provide solutions. Location: Ascension Dell Seton Medical Center – University of Texas Address: 1500 Red River St, Austin Texas 78701 Schedule: Monday – Friday, 8: 30 am – 5 pm; schedule will be modified based on operation needs.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma
  • 1-2 years of surgery and outpatient services experience.
  • 1-2 years of leadership experience.

Responsibilities

  • Supervise day surgery and outpatient scheduled services, ensuring efficient operations, coverage, and adherence to established patient access workflows.
  • Lead and support scheduling functions for Radiology, MRI, CT, Burn Clinic, Wound Care, and Cashiers, maintaining accuracy, timeliness, and high-quality customer service.
  • Manage team operations, including staff scheduling, timecard review/approval, coaching, and performance accountability to meet department goals.
  • Monitor, analyze, and report department metrics, using basic math skills to validate results and create clear presentations for staff, management, and senior leadership (policies, workflows, KPIs).
  • Drive problem-solving and continuous improvement, proactively identifying issues, multitasking across priorities, and leveraging Cerner experience to optimize scheduling and patient access processes.
