Job Summary Supervisor, Operating Room Assistants - 40hr Evening - BWH OR Clinical Support Supervises and administers the housekeeping program to maintain the hospital environment in a sanitary, attractive, and orderly condition. Requirements

Experience working with the cleaning equipment and chemicals used in hospitals and healthcare centers 5-7 years preferred
Experience in a supervisory role 2-3 years preferred
Knowledge of principles and practices of municipal government administration, operations, and management; methods and techniques of research and report presentation.
Knowledge of State and federally mandated laws, guidelines, and regulations regarding solid waste management.
Ability to analyze and interpret technical and numerical information.
Ability to observe and solve operational and technical problems.
Ability to develop policies and procedures.
Ability to understand and interpret complex rules and procedures; research, analyze, and recommend solutions to administrative and other management problems.
Ability to analyze budgets, reports, and various proposals.
Ability to determine an effective method of research.
Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with those contacted in the performance of required duties.

Responsibilities

Establishes standards and work procedures for the housekeeping staff in accordance with the policies of the hospital.
Plans work schedules and assigns hours and work areas to ensure adequate service across all hospital areas.
Responsible for training and supervising all personnel.
Inspects and evaluates the physical condition of the hospital; recommends painting, repairs, furnishing, and refurnishing, relocation of equipment, and re-allocation of space to improve sanitation, appearance, and efficiency.
Reports any unsafe conditions.
Investigates and evaluates new housekeeping supplies and equipment.
Prepares budgets, work reports, and other administrative guides.
Inventories housekeeping supplies and equipment, selects and requisitions new or replacement supplies and equipment.
