About The Position

This role is responsible for a variety of essential office functions including credit control, collections, reporting, accounts receivable, accounts payable, payroll, and personnel file maintenance. The Supervisor, Office will also manage administrative and customer service employees, ensure compliance with company policies, and handle corporate information requests. A key requirement is clear reporting on the period GM report, including actions for deficiencies and opportunities, to foster open discussion and provide insight into branch and company operations. The position carries supervisory responsibilities for non-exempt administrative employees, including hiring, training, performance management, and conflict resolution.

  • Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for credit control, collection and reporting
  • Maintains accounts receivable insurance program.
  • Assist General Manager as appropriate and in report preparation
  • Directs the local accounts payable function, assuring coordination with central accounts payable
  • Directly manages administrative and customer service employees.
  • Local payroll reporting and maintains all payroll records.
  • Union dues billing, health & welfare, and pension payments and reconciliation.
  • Maintains all personnel Files, 401k and insurance programs.
  • Assists Central Accounting in period close.
  • Ensures compliance to administrative policy and procedures.
  • Handles corporate requests for information.
  • Adhere to all company policies, procedures and safety rules as stated in the Employee Handbook and otherwise posted or communicated.

  • Clear reporting on the period GM report is a key requirement, with clear actions for deficiencies as well as opportunities.
  • The report should prompt an open discussion of all other issues as well as responsible reporting on the period report.
  • A clear insight into the working of the branch and the company should be the outcome.
  • Carries out supervisory responsibilities as a member of Branch staff, in accordance with Company policies and applicable laws.
  • Directly supervises non-exempt administrative employees.
  • Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training associates; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining associates; addressing complaints and resolving problems.
