About The Position

The Supervisor of IT Reporting and Solutions serves as the primary liaison between the IT department and other OCH departments. This role identifies business needs, evaluates opportunities for technology-enabled improvement, defines and prioritizes solution requirements, and coordinates development and implementation. The position proactively engages departments to understand workflows and pain points, translates operational needs into clearly scoped projects, and supervises the Reporting & Solutions team responsible for delivering those solutions. This includes managing solutions development, reporting and business intelligence, project scoping and solution delivery, AI tool enablement, and supervision of the Reporting & Solutions staff.

Requirements

  • Minimum high school diploma or equivalent required for all positions (may be allowed to sign a GED agreement to obtain within 6 months).
  • Associates degree
  • 1 year experience in IT business analysis or consulting preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as the primary liaison between the IT department and other OCH departments to identify business needs, evaluate opportunities for technology-enabled improvement, define and prioritize solution requirements, and coordinate development and implementation.
  • Proactively engage departments to understand workflows and pain points, translates operational needs into clearly scoped projects, and supervises the Reporting & Solutions team responsible for delivering those solutions.
  • Meet with department leadership and staff to proactively identify pain points, manual processes, inefficiencies, and opportunities for improvement.
  • Evaluate identified needs to determine overall business impact, urgency, affected stakeholders, and opportunities for technology-enabled solutions.
  • Work with departments to understand current-state workflows, define desired outcomes, and establish priorities prior to development work beginning.
  • Translate needs into business requirements that can be evaluated by IT Leadership.
  • Maintain ongoing relationships with departments to identify emerging needs and ensure previously implemented solutions continue to meet business needs.
  • Develop working proficiency in EHR report-building tools sufficient to build, modify, and troubleshoot reports as needed.
  • Coordinate reporting priorities and workload with the Reporting & Solutions team.
  • Review reporting with stakeholders to ensure the finished product addressed the identified needs.
  • Develop clear scopes of work for approved initiatives, including the problem being addressed, objectives, stakeholders, requirements, dependencies, deliverables, and expected outcomes.
  • Prioritize projects in coordination with IT leadership based on overall need, business value, resource availability, and strategic priorities.
  • Manage project pipeline and provide status updates on projects, priorities, workload, and barriers.
  • Coordinate development between departmental stakeholders, the IT department, vendors, and other resources as needed.
  • Participate directly in solution development, configuration, testing, troubleshooting, and implementation as needed.
  • Maintain working knowledge of AI tools approved for use at OCH and understand potential application to organizational workflows.
  • Work with departments to identify appropriate use cases and determine whether proposed needs can be addressed through existing tools.
  • Ensure AI solutions are routed through the appropriate approval processes.
  • Support adoption of approved AI tools by helping departments understand appropriate capabilities, limitations, and practical use cases.
  • Provide day-to-day supervision and direction for Reporting & Solutions staff.
  • Assign and prioritize work based on organizational and departmental priorities, project requirements, available resources, and staff abilities.
  • Support staff development by identifying training opportunities and encouraging growth.
  • Act as escalation point as needed by department.
  • Be willing to help as needed within department on various projects and tasks.
  • Work collaboratively with IT & Informatics leadership, and participate in all training and meeting requirements.
  • Responsible for any other duties and/or responsibilities as required by IT Director.
