This is a professional supervisor position that providing supervisory oversight for Homeless Outreach Mobile Engagement under the Housing First Division. Homeless Outreach help adults and families living without homes, or who are at risk of homelessness, by linking them to a variety of resources and providing behavioral health care throughout the community, including at local shelters. Our Homeless Outreach program provides three types of outreach (1) jurisdictional street outreach, pairing an Outreach worker with a Law Enforcement officer who both canvas areas within their jurisdiction looking for and engaging with individuals and families who are living street homeless, (2) dispatchable street outreach and (3) targeted street outreach which are aimed at assisting the most high risk populations. The Supervisor – Homeless Outreach Mobile Engagement will play an integral role of support, coaching and guidance for a pair of Street Outreach teams who are working with adults and families living without homes, or who are at risk of homelessness and may be dealing with substance abuse, mental health or co-occurring mental health & substance abuse concern. The Supervisor – Homeless Outreach Mobile Engagement will ensure that the Street Outreach team services being delivered are individualized, recovery-focused and allow individuals the opportunity to learn how to manage their own recovery and advocacy process. This position will be a subject matter expert on behavioral health case management and homeless interventions that serve to enhance the development of recovery, natural supports, as well as coping and self-management skills. The supervisor will ensure that the Street Outreach team services emphasize personal safety, self-worth, confidence, and growth, connection to the community, boundary setting, planning, self-advocacy, personal fulfillment, and development of social supports, and effective communication. The position will monitor that the Street Outreach team services provided emphasize the acquisition; development; expansion of rehabilitative skills needed to move forward in recovery. The supervisor will ensure that the Street Outreach teams collaborate with other service providers, such as psychiatry, SOAR, and behavioral health services. If the adult or family are not engaged in and need these other services, the supervisor will provide education on these services and help to coordinate initiation, as clinically appropriate. If these services are recommended, but the adult or family are not yet willing to engage, this should be documented in the service notes, and the supervisor will be responsible for reviewing and monitoring the documentation. This is a field position. The Supervisor – Homeless Outreach Mobile Engagement is responsible for ensuring an annual client facing client care number of 10,716 hours which reflects the minimum annual number of 1,786 hours of client facing client care per each member of the outreach team (6). Achieving the minimum required weekly, monthly and annual client facing client care hours is an essential function of this position. Directions for Living is an essential services provider.
