The Supervisor of Fleet Maintenance plays a crucial role in the day-to-day operations of the shop, focusing on maximizing fleet uptime, ensuring safety, and maintaining regulatory compliance. This position involves work planning and scheduling, supervising technicians, quality control for repairs, executing the preventive maintenance program, managing parts and costs, and ensuring the integrity of maintenance documentation. The Supervisor is responsible for ensuring all refuse collection vehicles are maintained according to OEM standards, company policies, and FMCSA/DOT regulations, acting as a frontline leader to deliver safe, reliable, and cost-effective fleet performance to the Operations department.
