Supervisor Mid Revenue Cycle
About The Position
This role oversees daily operations within the assigned function, ensuring team performance aligns with organizational and regulatory expectations. The Supervisor will identify, implement, and monitor process improvements to enhance efficiency, productivity, and accuracy across the Mid-Revenue Cycle. They will ensure compliance with all applicable laws, regulations, and accreditation standards, maintaining patient record confidentiality. Performance will be monitored and analyzed through key performance indicators (KPIs) to assess operational effectiveness and drive continuous improvement. The role involves leveraging healthcare technology and analytics tools to optimize workflows, improve data accuracy, and enhance decision-making. The Supervisor will act as a liaison between Mid-Revenue Cycle functions and other departments, facilitating communication and problem-solving. Additionally, they will supervise and develop team members through coaching, performance feedback, and professional development opportunities, including hiring, training, and performance evaluations. The role also includes monitoring quality standards, addressing operational challenges, and implementing corrective actions.
Requirements
- Relevant industry certification from an approved accrediting body such as AAPC or AHIMA
- Demonstrated knowledge of facility coding, professional coding, and/or HIM operational guidelines and workflows necessary to scope of work.
- Understanding of third-party reimbursement programs, state and federal regulatory requirements, national and local coverage decisions, and coding classification systems (ICD-10, CPT, HCPCS).
- Experience in process improvement, performance management, and operational efficiency initiatives
- Proficiency in EHR systems and Microsoft 365 applications
- Excellent leadership and team development skills
- Ability to collaborate across departments and within a matrix organizational structure
- Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to work within deadlines and maintain accuracy
- Effective communication skills to engage and manage diverse stakeholders

- Experience in optimizing workflows and improving operational effectiveness within a complex healthcare environment.
- Skilled in prioritizing business needs and resource management to develop efficient and scalable processes.
- Proven ability to manage teams, coach staff, and foster a culture of continuous improvement and accountability.

- Supervise and develop team members by providing coaching, performance feedback, and professional development opportunities. Conduct hiring, training, and performance evaluations to ensure a skilled and engaged workforce.
- Monitor quality standards, address operational challenges, and implement corrective actions to maintain a high level of service delivery.
