Requirements

5+ years experience in a supervisory role within a metal fabrication environment
Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and inspire teams
Solid understanding of metal fabrication processes and equipment
Knowledge of quality control principles and practices
Familiarity with safety regulations and compliance standards
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Strong problem-solving abilities and decision-making skills
Proficiency in MS Office applications and manufacturing software systems

Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Manufacturing Management, or related field

Responsibilities

Enforce safety protocols and ensure all employees adhere to safety regulations and procedures. Conduct regular safety meetings and inspections to minimize workplace hazards and prevent accidents.
Oversee the maintenance and repair of fabrication equipment to ensure optimal performance. Coordinate with maintenance staff to address any equipment issues promptly.
Monitor inventory levels of raw materials and supplies to support production schedules. Coordinate with procurement to ensure timely replenishment of materials.
Identify opportunities for process improvements and cost savings. Implement efficiency measures and lean manufacturing principles to enhance productivity and reduce waste.
Maintain accurate production records, including work orders, inventory levels, and quality control reports. Generate regular reports on production performance, efficiency, and quality metrics.
Collaborate with other supervisors and department managers to coordinate workflow and resolve inter-departmental issues. Communicate effectively with employees to provide feedback, address concerns, and promote a culture of teamwork.
Identify training needs and provide ongoing skills development opportunities for employees. Ensure that all team members are adequately trained on equipment operation, safety procedures, and quality standards.
