About The Position

We are seeking a skilled Sheet Metal Fabrication Welder to join a growing manufacturing team. This position focuses on fitting, assembling, and welding precision sheet metal components according to engineering specifications, production requirements, and quality standards. The ideal candidate will have strong MIG welding experience, the ability to interpret fabrication drawings, and a commitment to producing accurate, high-quality work in a fast-paced production environment.

Requirements

• Minimum of three years of MIG welding experience in a fabrication, manufacturing, or industrial environment
• Experience welding light-gauge sheet metal ranging from approximately .060" to 1/4" thickness
• Ability to read and understand blueprints, fabrication drawings, and welding symbols
• Strong focus on accuracy, quality, and attention to detail
• Ability to communicate effectively and work collaboratively within a production team

Responsibilities

• Perform MIG welding on sheet metal assemblies in flat, horizontal, vertical, and overhead positions
• Fit, align, and secure components using clamps, fixtures, jigs, and hand tools before welding
• Fabricate and weld parts using steel, aluminum, and other production materials
• Complete fabrication-related activities including tack welding, assembly, grinding, and heat-forming operations
• Select appropriate welding techniques, machine settings, and consumables based on material specifications and job requirements
• Review and interpret work orders, fabrication drawings, blueprints, welding symbols, and technical specifications
• Verify dimensions and weld quality using measuring devices, gauges, calipers, templates, and other inspection tools
• Ensure completed products meet customer and internal quality standards
• Maintain welding equipment and perform routine adjustments or minor troubleshooting when necessary
• Work efficiently to meet production schedules while maintaining workmanship standards
• Support a safe and organized work environment by following established safety procedures and housekeeping practices
