About The Position

Haile Gold Mine, located in South Carolina, is seeking a qualified, experienced, and reliable Supervisor- Mechanical. This role provides oversight of projects that include Structural, Mechanical, Piping, Electrical, and Instrumentation disciplines, which are critical to the operation of the Mine. The position also provides engineering support and advice on the planning, design, and supervision/monitoring of Haile's underground and surface mining operations. The Supervisor will plan, implement, and monitor design and planning work to comply with national regulatory standards, direct and coordinate design and planning work to meet delivery targets, and provide close to accurate cost estimates of SMP projects for budgeting and procurement. They will thoroughly analyze data collected and recommend action plans to ensure timely, cost-efficient, and high-quality output produced by contractors, and promptly communicate with contractors to resolve complex issues that hinder project completion. The role involves developing solutions to mitigate risk and maximize value, periodically performing audits to check compliance with regulatory requirements, and reviewing risks, responses, and risk management performance within the team. The Supervisor will lead the preparation of documents, plans, budgets, and presentations to ensure the implementation of program objectives and plans, monitor compliance of program implementation with agreements, and keep stakeholders apprised of progress through regular communication and updates. Issues will be addressed with urgency and direct communication with the right stakeholders and actors.

Requirements

  • 5 years of experience in industrial plant construction, power plants and mine processing plants.
  • 3 years of supervisory experience in industrial plant construction, power plants and mine processing plant projects and/or experience in construction management.
  • Trade Qualifications or Degree in Engineering or related discipline (e.g. Mechanical, Electrical).
  • MSHA 40 HR Trained or past MSHA training.
  • Knowledge in SMP construction methodologies and standards and its installation.
  • Proficiency in MS Office Suite: MS Excel functions and setup, MS Word processing, MS PowerPoint presentation, and MS Project usage and processing.
  • High technical knowledge in general engineering.
  • Displays high degree of safety and environmental awareness and a drive for continuous improvement.
  • Excellent planning, organizing and prioritization capabilities.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Effective problem-solving skills.
  • Strong results orientation and ability to consistently deliver targets against the plan.
