About The Position

This role is crucial for supporting the transition to renewable energy by enabling the extraction of necessary metals and minerals. The position involves working alongside mines globally to optimize resource extraction, reduce energy and water usage, and minimize waste. The Manufacturing Supervisor will play a key role in solving real-world challenges by applying their skills to deliver impactful results in engineering, planning, and customer support, contributing to a more sustainable future.

Requirements

  • Proven leadership experience (3+ years) in manufacturing supervision, preferably in a unionized environment.
  • Strong ability to manage and motivate teams in challenging cultures and hold employees accountable.
  • Solid knowledge of Lean manufacturing and continuous improvement practices.
  • Experience in foundry or heavy industrial manufacturing environments.
  • Familiarity with ERP systems (Oracle or SAP) for production planning and reporting.

Responsibilities

  • Lead, coach, and develop Team Leaders and production employees to build a high-performing, engaged workforce.
  • Foster accountability, teamwork, and continuous learning within the team.
  • Hold the team accountable to meet production and safety standards.
  • Supervise day-to-day foundry operations ensuring safe, efficient, and compliant production processes.
  • Plan, coordinate, and monitor labor and resources to meet production schedules and operational targets.
  • Apply Lean manufacturing principles and structured problem-solving to identify root causes, improve processes, and sustain operational improvements.
  • Collaborate with engineering, maintenance, and quality teams to resolve operational challenges.
  • Oversee finishing processes such as grinding, heat treatment, and welding, ensuring quality and adherence to standards.
  • Utilize ERP systems like Oracle for production tracking, work orders, and reporting.
  • Work rotational shifts every two weeks (days 7 AM–3 PM, afternoons 3 PM–11 PM, midnights 11 PM–7 AM) to support 24/7 operations.
