About The Position

As a Supervisor Maintenance, your goal is to supervise and coordinate the activities of team members with regard to construction, modification, and maintenance of equipment, buildings, and grounds. This role involves coordinating the effective utilization of team member skills, developing and training team members for maximum efficiency, implementing and monitoring preventive maintenance programs, reviewing operational schedules, and supervising off-hour emergency response. The position also requires maintaining awareness of plant maintenance policies and procedures and performing full managerial responsibilities including interviewing, hiring, coaching, performance management, and budget oversight.

Requirements

  • Associate’s Degree in Technical Field OR equivalent education and experience
  • Minimum five years industrial maintenance experience in assembly or machining operations
  • Basic computer skills - including ability to use email, calendar, word processing and spreadsheet software
  • Fundamental knowledge of manufacturing maintenance processes related to machinery, carpentry, electrical, etc.
  • Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of personnel and maintenance problems
  • Good interpersonal skills to interact with and motivate a diverse group of employees
  • Fluent in English and primary language used in area of responsibility and/or location

Nice To Haves

  • SAP knowledge/experience preferred
  • Strong electrical background preferred

Responsibilities

  • Supervise and coordinate the activities of team members with regard to construction, modification, and maintenance of equipment, buildings, and grounds.
  • Coordinate the effective utilization of team member skills for the maintenance of plant equipment, buildings, and grounds.
  • Develop, train, and motivate team members to acquire maximum efficiency, productivity, cooperation, and morale.
  • Implement and monitor preventive maintenance programs.
  • Review operational schedules and coordinate maintenance activities.
  • Supervise off-hour emergency response to repair equipment and stabilize damages.
  • Maintain awareness of plant maintenance policies and procedures, and ensure proper adherence by team members.
  • Perform full range of managerial responsibilities which may include but not be limited to: interviewing, hiring, coaching and developing employees; planning, assigning and directing work; EEO/AA; performance management; department budget.
