About The Position

Under limited supervision, directs and coordinates activities of Maintenance Employees in Production Department(s) and overall facility by planning and directing various activities, tasks, and duties. This role is responsible for implementing policies and procedures related to operating methods, safety, and behavior, ensuring compliance with regulations, and reviewing performance against company objectives. The position also focuses on maintaining plant cleanliness, Good Manufacturing Practices, inspecting and adjusting equipment, and collaborating with Production Management to minimize downtime. Recommendations for improving production methods, equipment performance, and quality are expected, along with ensuring the timely execution of preventive and predictive maintenance. The role involves developing operational standards, leading problem-solving teams, initiating purchase requisitions, and overseeing electrical troubleshooting and repair, including PLC systems. Coordination and scheduling of electrical maintenance work are crucial for a safe environment and equipment reliability. The Supervisor will lead the Predictive Maintenance aspects of TPM Pillar 3, manage operational data, and ensure customer satisfaction through prompt and respectful responses. Adherence to company policies, procedures, and safety rules, and exemplifying core values are essential. This role supervises the hourly Maintenance staff, including interviewing, selection, disciplinary actions, training, grievance resolution, and work scheduling.

  • Maintains harmony among workers and resolves problems.
  • Ensures electrical troubleshooting and repair of PLC systems.
  • Lead the Predictive Maintenance portion of TPM Pillar 3 including vibration analysis, infrared analysis and oil analysis.

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for the implementation of policies and procedures as directed by the Maintenance Manager, other direct supervisor or company management regarding operating methods, safety and behavior.
  • Ensures that all employees for which this position is responsible are operating within established company and governmental regulations.
  • Review results of supervised workers’ activities by analyzing available information, comparing them to company objectives, budgeted KCV's and expense budgets and takes steps to ensure that measures are taken to correct unsatisfactory results.
  • Ensures proper plant cleanliness and Good Manufacturing Practices are maintained at all times.
  • Inspects equipment to verify optimal operating condition and directs setup and adjustments of machines.
  • Works closely with Production Management personnel to coordinate work so that optimal operating conditions are maintained with zero machine/process downtime.
  • Recommends measures to improve production methods, equipment performance and quality of processes.
  • Reviews production schedules and operating reports to ascertain optimal timing of Work Order and Preventive maintenance activities.
  • Ensures performance of preventive and predictive maintenance and calibrations on equipment.
  • Develops or revises standard operational and working practices and observes workers to ensure compliance with standards.
  • Leads Problem-Solving Teams as needed to allow continued improvement in Maintenance and Manufacturing Processes.
  • Initiate Purchase requisitions for services or materials.
  • Follows up with vendors to facilitate electrical work.
  • Ensures electrical troubleshooting and repair of PLC systems and maintenance of inventory and equipment to ensure smooth office operation.
  • Accountable for the coordination, planning, prioritizing, scheduling and communication of electrical maintenance work to ensure a safe work environment and maximum reliability of all facility equipment.
  • Lead the Predictive Maintenance portion of TPM Pillar 3 including vibration analysis, infrared analysis and oil analysis.
  • Compiles, stores and retrieves operational data.
  • Follows up on all customer request and questions to ensure appropriate response is made aware and customer is satisfied.
  • Treats all customers (both internal and external) with respect, courtesy and kindness.
  • Adhere to all company policies, procedures and safety rules as stated in the Employee Handbook and otherwise posted or communicated.
