This role performs preventive maintenance and repairs on equipment and systems (e.g., mechanical, electrical), evaluates and recommends equipment improvements to improve availability, capability and yield, performs equipment failure analyses (including preventive and unscheduled maintenance), troubleshoots and diagnoses equipment problems, and prepares technical reports to document equipment modifications and equipment maintenance procedures.

Requirements

  • Associate's Degree and 3-5 years' experience OR Equivalent Combination of Relevant Education &/or Experience
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)

Responsibilities

  • Performs preventive maintenance and repairs on equipment and systems (e.g., mechanical, electrical)
  • Evaluates and recommends equipment improvements to improve availability, capability and yield
  • Performs equipment failure analyses (including preventive and unscheduled maintenance)
  • Troubleshoots and diagnoses equipment problems
  • Prepares technical reports to document equipment modifications and equipment maintenance procedures
  • Supervises a crew performing routine preventive maintenance and safety inspection operations for a plant's mechanical equipment, control systems or power distribution systems.
  • Follows a daily and weekly schedule to effectively assign maintenance and repair tasks and may use a work order system to track work orders.
  • Oversees preventive maintenance, repair, inspection, and calibration processes to identify wear, damage, or leaks, replace filters or belts, or apply lubrication to mechanical devices.
  • Selects, schedules, and coordinates vendors and outside service providers for specialized repairs or maintenance projects.
  • Maintains a replacement and spare part inventory at required levels.
  • Trains and coaches the team.
  • Ensures all work and material handling follow established safety procedures and regulations.
  • Leads and directs the work of other employees and has some responsibility for personnel actions related to hiring, performance, and disciplinary actions with concurrence from the HR Directors & General Managers.
