About The Position

The Supervisor of Logistics is responsible for oversight of the movement, distribution and delivery of all goods, both domestic and International. They will be responsible for managing logistics personnel, coordinating the shipment of goods, ensuring customer satisfaction, and implementing new strategies to streamline shipping processes. They must strategize and implement logistics plans and handle a variety of logistical processes to ensure the smooth and efficient operation of the company’s supply chain.

Requirements

  • Strong understanding and experience in logistics (5-10+ years’ experience), supply chain, and distribution processes to manage global/domestic operations efficiently.
  • Excellent analytical skills to assess logistics performance and implement necessary improvements.
  • Exceptional organizational skills to manage multiple logistics operations simultaneously.
  • Excellent leadership and management skills to oversee the logistics team and ensure the smooth running of operations.
  • Strong negotiation skills to secure contracts with logistics providers and suppliers at the best rates in conjunction with the Supply Chain Manager
  • Knowledge of international trade laws and regulations to ensure compliance in all operations.
  • Proficient in using logistics software and systems to monitor and control logistics operations.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills to address any challenges or setbacks in the logistics processes.
  • Good interpersonal and communication skills to liaise with various stakeholders including suppliers, customers, and team members.
  • Attention to detail to ensure accurate and timely delivery of goods.

Responsibilities

  • Planning and managing logistics, transportation and customer services
  • Liaising and negotiating with suppliers and manufacturers.
  • Tracking the quality, delivery times, transport costs and efficiency of the movement of goods
  • Arranging and planning routes and process shipments
  • Resolving any problems arising or complaints related to logistics
  • Supervising, coaching and training shipping workforce
  • Meeting cost, productivity, accuracy and timeliness targets
  • Maintaining metrics and analyzing data to assess performance and implement improvements
  • Complying with all laws and regulations including export control.
