This position is responsible for assigning the labor force to appropriate tasks in line with efficient crewing needs and contractual requirements. The role ensures that all process and quality specifications are followed in the shipping/receiving of scheduled components. The Supervisor is responsible for monitoring shipping results and ensuring that budget rates are exceeded. They must maintain detailed knowledge of process and equipment to achieve optimum efficiency and ensure that all shift employees are adequately trained in necessary process procedures to accomplish assignments efficiently. The role also involves holding or participating in monthly safety meetings with shift employees to communicate the importance of safe work practices, monitoring and enforcing all safety rules, and administering the labor contract, plant rules, and handling appropriate discipline. The Supervisor will continuously strive to improve processes, process equipment, and procedures, and encourage shift employees to do the same. They must understand and enforce all procedures related to the safe handling of hazardous materials and instruct subordinates in these procedures. The role requires being trained on all applicable SOPs, LOPs, policies, and procedures.
