About The Position

Under the direction of the Director of Intensive Family Preservation, this role supervises all therapists in the program. The program provides short-term, intensive in-home, strength-based interventions for families with children aged infant to 17 who have been exposed to abuse and/or neglect. These issues may include unmet mental health needs, parental substance use, and intimate partner violence. The program offers case management, parenting education, advocacy, coordination with community providers, assistance in obtaining basic needs, and 24/7 crisis intervention coverage.

Requirements

  • Licensed Masters Degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Human Services, or related field.
  • 2-4 years of social services experience.
  • Must maintain a valid driver’s license.
  • Rotating on-call responsibilities for client accessibility 24 hours, 7 days a week.

Responsibilities

  • Supervises In-Home Therapists, including rotating on-call responsibilities for 24/7 client accessibility and regular case consultation to ensure high-quality client care.
  • Oversees the administrative assistant.
  • Provides extensive, two-hour weekly supervision with each therapist for case plan review, timely documentation, and case management updates.
  • Co-facilitates bi-weekly group supervision/staff meetings.
  • Accompanies therapists to home visits for difficult cases as needed.
  • Provides case coverage when an assigned therapist is unavailable due to illness, vacation, or leave.
  • Assists in coordination with the DCF Enhanced Service Coordinator to ensure continuous referrals and meet annual contractual expectations, maintaining regular contact to discuss the referral process, issues, or concerns.
  • Directs the client intake process, reviews referral and related information, and assigns cases.
  • Attends monthly DCF case progress summary meetings.
  • Assists the Director of IFP in developing ongoing staff training and training materials.
  • Attends IFP Statewide meetings and shares statewide issues and concerns with the Director of IFP.
  • Conducts regular utilization reviews as directed, utilizing Credible and PIE (Provider Information Exchange).
  • Assists in hiring qualified personnel, evaluates employee performance, makes recommendations for praise or performance improvement, and ensures staff retention through team-building activities.
  • Assists in data collection and program evaluation efforts by completing RBA measures quarterly.
  • Serves as a designee in the IFP program if a client scores moderate or high for suicide risk on the C-SSRS Screener.
  • Assists the IFP Director in supervising program interns, providing assignments, completing evaluations, and other required paperwork, and attends SIFI training.
