About The Position

We are looking for a Supervisor, Instructional Designer, 6-12 ELA for our K-12 division literacy programs. You will be a leader within a collaborative group of Instructional Designers, partnering with teams focused on content, product management, and creative media, while also overseeing external vendors to ensure quality and alignment across projects. You will drive the development of robust digital programs, interactive educational materials, and multimedia learning solutions. This role is responsible for leading a high-performing team that delivers research-informed, high-quality content tailored to the evolving needs of today's 6-12 literacy learners and educators. This is a remote position open to applicants authorized to work for any employer within the United States. This is a Project Status Worker (PSW) role with an end date of 03/31/2027.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Education, English Language Arts, Instructional Design, Instructional Technology, or a related field required.
  • 4+ years of experience working in digital content development, including the creation of teaching and learning materials within the education sector.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of instructional design research, theory, and application, with a proven track record of creating and implementing interactive educational materials, multimedia, and learning games.
  • Some prior experience managing and leading teams, with the ability to guide and support others toward shared goals.
  • Experience managing multiple projects simultaneously within tight deadlines and budgets, ensuring quality and on-time delivery.
  • Basic knowledge of HTML and CSS, with some experience using authoring tools, learning management systems (LMS), and content management systems (CMS).
  • Some ability to create and visualize animated and interactive content, bringing engaging learning experiences to life.

  • Oversee an extensive network of external vendors, ensuring alignment with project objectives and maintaining consistent quality standards.
  • Make informed decisions to allocate resources effectively and manage operational initiatives for tactical and strategic delivery.
  • Create an environment where diverse perspectives are valued, and trust and appreciation thrive, driving talent management initiatives that support current and future team success.
  • Maintain awareness of industry trends and market dynamics, leveraging external networks and perspectives to inform strategic decisions and enhance products and services.
  • Maintain strong relationships with senior leaders and colleagues, facilitating alignment, articulating customer needs, and driving collective success.
