About The Position

Join Flair’s In-Flight team, where frontline leadership and operational support help ensure safe, compliant, and effective In-Flight operations across the network. Reporting to the Manager, In-Flight Operations & Performance, the Supervisor, In-Flight Operations provides day-to-day leadership and administrative support to Flight Attendants and In-Flight Directors within an assigned crew base. The Supervisor, In-Flight Operations supports employee coaching, safety administration, onboarding, asset management, and day-to-day base activities. Working closely with In-Flight leadership and internal stakeholders, the role helps ensure company policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements are consistently applied while supporting the operational needs of the base. This is an on-site position based at our Vancouver, BC office.

Requirements

  • Completion of post-secondary education in Aviation, Business Administration, Human Resources, Occupational Health & Safety, or a related field is preferred. Equivalent combination of education, training, and relevant experience will be considered.
  • Minimum of 3–5 years of previous experience as a Flight Attendant is required.
  • Minimum of 2–4 years of experience in In-Flight training, front-line leadership, or a related airline operational environment is required.
  • Experience working within a safety-sensitive and regulated environment is required.
  • Clear criminal record check and satisfactory references.
  • Must be legally eligible to work in Canada without restriction.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience conducting investigations, audits, administrative reviews, or compliance-related activities is considered an asset.
  • Experience supporting employee performance management, coaching, and attendance management is preferred.
  • Experience in a unionized workplace is considered an asset.
  • Occupational Health & Safety, Safety Management System, or investigation-related training is considered an asset.
  • Strong organizational and administrative skills, with a high level of attention to detail.
  • Ability to conduct fact-finding investigations and prepare accurate documentation, records, and reports.
  • Strong understanding of Safety Management System principles, workplace safety requirements, and compliance expectations.
  • Effective coaching, employee support, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to communicate clearly and professionally.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality, exercise sound judgment, and handle sensitive matters with discretion.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications and airline operational systems.

  • Ability to work flexible schedules and support operational requirements outside of standard business hours, as required.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain all required Flight Attendant qualifications, certifications, and recurrent training, and provide operational support through boarding, inflight operations, airport activities, and other operational assignments, as required, to maintain operational proficiency and support business needs.

  • Provide day-to-day operational support, coaching, and guidance to Flight Attendants and In-Flight Directors by responding to employee inquiries, interpreting company policies, procedures, and operational standards, and assisting with operational issue resolution.
  • Escalate operational, employee relations, performance, safety, or compliance matters requiring management intervention to the Manager, In-Flight Operations & Performance.
  • Support employee engagement, recognition, onboarding, and retention initiatives.
  • Support Safety Management System (SMS) investigations, root cause reviews, and employee participation initiatives to promote a proactive safety culture across the assigned crew base.
  • Support safety audits, corrective actions, and compliance activities while monitoring adherence to company policies, procedures, and applicable regulatory requirements.
  • Coordinate assigned Occupational Health & Safety (OHS), Aviation Occupational Safety & Health (AOSH), and Safety Management System (SMS) activities within the assigned crew base.
  • Coordinate, document, and support workplace injury and incident investigations, ensuring required reporting, documentation, and follow-up activities are completed accurately and within established timelines.
  • Coordinate the issuance, tracking, recovery, and inventory of Flight Attendant assets, including electronic devices, uniforms, and operational equipment, ensuring accurate records and accountability.
  • Coordinate Restricted Area Identity Card (RAIC) applications, renewals, and related documentation to ensure regulatory compliance and operational readiness.
  • Coordinate and support onboarding activities for new Flight Attendants, including orientation, documentation, equipment issuance, and collaboration with internal stakeholders to ensure successful onboarding experience.
  • Support recruitment and talent acquisition activities, including interviews, hiring events, candidate engagement, and other departmental initiatives, as required.
  • Support departmental projects, continuous improvement initiatives, and the implementation of new processes and programs while identifying opportunities to improve operational effectiveness, administrative practices, compliance activities, and employee support.
  • Monitor day-to-day crew base activities to support operational readiness by identifying operational risks, coordinating resources, resolving routine operational issues, and escalating service disruptions, safety concerns, or operational risks as appropriate.
  • Provide In-Flight Person on Call (IPOC) coverage, as assigned, exercising delegated authority to support operational decision-making, issue resolution, and business continuity.
  • Conduct preliminary fact-finding, gather documentation, and prepare investigation summaries for employee relations, operational, or safety matters, referring formal investigations to the Manager, In-Flight Operations & Performance as appropriate.
  • Attend performance management, attendance, and employee relations meetings to provide administrative support, prepare meeting minutes, document action items, and develop knowledge and experience to support succession planning and leadership development within the In-Flight Operations team.
