About The Position
The Supervisor II, Laboratory (Auto-Chemistry) is responsible for supervision over multiple functions including oversight of laboratory testing for core lab, monitoring workflow from sample processing to results reporting, and day-to-day teammate guidance. This position evaluates and monitors compliance with service guarantees and specimen quality requirements.
Requirements
- 6-8 years of experience as a Medical Technologist/Supervisor
- Bachelor's degree in Medical Technology, biological sciences, or related field
- Florida Supervisor's license in Chemistry
- Professional laboratory certification from a recognized certifying agency (e.g., ASCP, AMT)
Responsibilities
- Ensure teammate adherence to procedures and quality assurance requirements
- Serve as a resource to teammates, providing oversight and support to training and competency programs
- Monitor performance against established targets and goals
- Facilitate resolution of organizational obstacles
- Manage teammate employment activities including hiring, promotion, performance evaluations, and disciplinary actions
- Monitor workflow and delegate responsibilities to team members
- Maintain an active role in the quality improvement program
