Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field and 5 years of experience in the job offered or in a mechanical engineering-related occupation.
- Working knowledge of the ASME Boiler and Pressure Vessel code
- Specific knowledge of the ASME Boiler and Pressure Vessel code Section III
- Fatigue analysis and material behavior of carbon and stainless steels
- ANSYS and other Finite element software codes
- Understanding of welding operations and ability to analyze local conditions
- Ability to communicate difficult technical problems and solutions clearly to a variety of engineers and executives.
Responsibilities
- Responsible for the technical direction of the component analysis team.
- Develop schedules and budgets as well as scope definitions for analyses for pressure retaining, safety-related systems in accordance with the ASME BP&V code.
- Provide mentoring and coaching of engineers.
- Ensure development actions are performed as necessary.
- Provide input to new opportunities in company.
- Be a strong voice to the customer, ensuring confidence in the product delivered.
- Perform reviews of all analyses performed in group to ensure accuracy, procedural, contractual and technical compliance.
- Act as subject matter expert in the area of pressure retaining systems and fatigue analysis.
