About The Position

The Engineering Supervisor is responsible for planning, prioritizing, assigning, supervising and reviewing the work of staff responsible for facilities maintenance services including; carpentry, painting, plumbing, electrical maintenance and repairs.

Requirements

  • Minimum of five (5) years’ hands-on experience working on HVAC equipment, pumps, refrigeration equipment, boilers, swimming pool maintenance and control systems preferred.
  • One-year of supervisory experience preferred
  • Effective supervisory and communication skills
  • Ability to speak, read, write and understand English
  • Well organized and demonstrated strong problem solving skills
  • Ability to work independently and maintain a positive attitude within a busy environment
  • Knowledge of building trades including carpentry, painting, plumbing, welding, and electrical repair
  • Knowledge of pertinent federal, state, and local laws, codes, and regulations
  • Knowledge of OSHAQ standards and applications
  • Understanding of computers, applications and a working knowledge of MS Word, Powerpoint, Outlook and Excel
  • Knowledge, understanding, and compliance of policies and procedures, job descriptions, daily memorandums, chemical labels, and other instructions
  • Ability to communicate effectively and establish and maintain effective working relationships with guest, management, and staff

Nice To Haves

Responsibilities

  • Establish schedules and methods for providing facilities maintenance services
  • Identify resource needs, review with appropriate management staff, and allocate resources accordingly
  • Receive emergency maintenance calls, evaluate problems, and establish installation maintenance or repair priorities
  • Receive and investigate maintenance complaints and conduct property inspections
  • Prepare and recommend labor and material estimates
  • Schedule labor force and assign work for efficient use of equipment and personnel
  • Ensure compliance by all facilities operations personnel with Company and departmental rules, policies and procedures
  • Perform additional duties and projects as assigned
