Requirements

  • Associate’s degree in a related field, or equivalent experience, required.
  • Minimum one year of leadership experience required.
  • Ability to cope with the physical and mental demands of a dynamic environment.
  • Ability to read, write and understand English.
  • Knowledge of computers and appropriate software programs required.
  • Working knowledge of applicable regulations, laws and techniques required.
  • Demonstrated ability to prioritize tasks.
  • Good interpersonal relations skills.
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to work with others in a diplomatic and tactful manner.
  • Demonstrated ability to remain calm and collected in stressful situations.
  • Comprehends and utilizes good body mechanics.
  • Ability to plan, develop and teach training/in-service modules in an effective manner.
  • Ability to work in a self-directed manner.

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor’s degree, or equivalent experience, preferred.
  • Three to five years of health care related preferred.
  • Certification in appropriate field preferred (CHESP).

Responsibilities

  • Under the direction of the department manager, the supervisor is responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of the department and employee performance.
  • Exercises discretionary judgment in solving problems and working with employees.
  • Uses working knowledge of applicable regulations, laws, techniques, procedures, and general principles and practices of specific support services areas.
