Supervisor Health Programs - Job Share - Whale Cove and Chesterfield Inlet
About The Position
Reporting to the Director Health Programs, the Supervisor Health Programs (SHP) provides leadership, direction, and support to all Health Centre employees. The SHP works with Community Health Nurses (CHNs), community health representatives and other health care professionals to provide health services to all community clients in accordance with established standards of nursing practice and the philosophy and objectives of the Department of Health. Incumbents who are hired as Nurse Practitioners (NPs) will provide clinical support and guidance to CHNs and our health care team in keeping with their education preparation and NPs scope of practice.
Requirements
- Registered Nurse or Nurse Practitioner with current licensure with the Nunavut Board of Nursing.
- Minimum of three (3) years of experience in community health nursing.
- Minimum of two (2) years of supervisory or management experience in a health care setting.
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
Nice To Haves
- Experience working in a remote or northern community.
- Experience with electronic health records.
- Proficiency in Inuktitut.
