About The Position

Reporting to the Director Health Programs, the Supervisor Health Programs (SHP) provides leadership, direction, and support to all Health Centre employees. The SHP works with Community Health Nurses (CHNs), community health representatives and other health care professionals to provide health services to all community clients in accordance with established standards of nursing practice and the philosophy and objectives of the Department of Health. Incumbents who are hired as Nurse Practitioners (NPs) will provide clinical support and guidance to CHNs and our health care team in keeping with their education preparation and NPs scope of practice.

Requirements

Registered Nurse (RN) or Nurse Practitioner (NP) designation.
Current licensure with the relevant provincial or territorial nursing regulatory body.
Minimum of 5 years of experience in community health nursing or a related field.
Demonstrated leadership and supervisory experience.
Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Proficiency in electronic health records (EHR) systems.

Nice To Haves

Experience working in a remote or northern community.
Experience in program development and evaluation.
Completion of a Master's degree in Nursing, Public Health, or a related field.
Bilingualism (English and French).

Responsibilities
