Requirements

  • Post-high school education including special training, vocational school, or college courses.
  • 2 years of experience in a hatchery setting or live production area.
  • Basic computer skills.
  • 1-2 trips per year.
  • Must not own, possess, or otherwise maintain any domestic, wild or exotic fowl to be considered, required to sign a Bio-security agreement to avoid any non-commercial avian species examples: chickens, ducks, birds, parakeets, parrots, etc.
  • The Company Animal Welfare Policy must be followed at all times.
  • All professional team members are expected to demonstrate responsible use of approved AI tools, including safeguarding sensitive information, adhering to company policies, and validating AI-generated outputs.
  • Individual Contributors should demonstrate the ability to integrate AI into daily work, improve efficiency through AI-enabled solutions, evaluate outputs critically, and apply professional judgment when using AI.
  • People Leaders should demonstrate the ability to drive responsible AI adoption, enable effective use of approved solutions, identify opportunities to improve team performance through AI, and ensure accountability for the quality and accuracy of AI-supported outcomes.

Responsibilities

  • Complete chick delivery sheets, flock pull sheets, and mortality charts.
  • Keep logs on truck miles and hours worked by drivers.
  • Ensure the movement of chicks to farms according to the shipment schedule.
  • Oversee incubation, hatchery, and environmental control equipment.
  • Supervise personnel on a daily basis.
  • Grade fleets of eggs from hen farms.
  • Prepare vaccines for chickens.
  • Perform other responsibilities as needed and any other duties assigned by the manager.
  • Supervise personnel in a single department or work unit.
