About The Position

As a Supervisor, Hardware Engineering, you will be responsible for leading a team of 13-15 direct reports. This team supports the design, manufacturing, and test of instrumentation and control assemblies and cabinets for Plant Computer and Annunciator systems. You will report to the Sr. Manager; Control & Information System Engineering and be located at our Huntsville, AL. This is an onsite position. There is no relocation assistance available for this role.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering
  • Minimum of 10 years of experience
  • Experience leading a team of engineers
  • Experience with I&C hardware design for electronic assemblies, cabinets, PCBs, cables, etc.

Responsibilities

  • Manage the performance of direct reports
  • Hiring, training, and developing resources to increase bench strength
  • Establish a culture of focusing on safety and quality as the top priorities
  • Evaluate resource demand from projects and developing hiring plans according to ensure long-term sustainability
  • Meet labor rate goals for the team
  • Interface directly with production supervisors to ensure production and engineering teams work together with clear direction
  • Ensure consistency in the design and manufacturing process across the team
  • Incorporate lessons and utilize skillsets from two different plant computer/annunciator system products
  • Ensuring on-time closure of issues and corrective actions
  • Lead product and process improvements and cost savings plans
  • Collaborate internally across multiple organizations
  • Lead resolution of emergent customer issues
  • Lead the development of cost estimates for new projects
