About The Position

Responsible for assisting the Production Manager in the overall management of operations to include quality, product safety, associate safety, making production metrics, staffing, budgeting, maintenance, and raw material planning. Provides advice and oversees standardization of recipes, menu preparation, portion, cost and waste control.

  • Ensuring proper line/equipment operation and GMP compliance
  • Working with maintenance to ensure proper servicing level on equipment
  • Training Associates on all production equipment
  • Troubleshooting equipment problems
  • Meeting production order demands on a timely basis
  • Coordinating the production schedule for the team
  • Supervising inventory levels
  • Ensuring the safety of the team's Associates
  • Complying with the company's safety system
  • Facilitating safety meetings/training, safety audits, injury investigations
  • Correcting unsafe conditions and behaviors
  • Ensuring department compliance with all requirements, policies and procedures
  • Conducting weekly planning to identify staffing requirements, raw material or capacity concerns
  • Maintaining a presence on the floor a minimum of 50% of the time
  • Completing daily administrative tasks
  • Monitoring compliance of the Associates
  • Completing performance management reports

Responsibilities

  • Provide frequent production equipment monitoring to ensure proper line/equipment operation and GMP compliance. Work with maintenance to ensure proper servicing level on equipment.
  • Trains Associates on all production equipment, as needed. Troubleshoots equipment problems to ensure maximum running time of equipment.
  • Meets production order demands on a timely basis by coordinating the production schedule for the team. Supervises inventory levels to ensure dump/donations remain at or better than goal.
  • Ensures the safety of the team's Associates by complying with the company's safety system. Facilitates safety meetings/training, safety audits, injury investigations. Corrects unsafe conditions and behaviors. Ensures the department remains compliant with all requirements, policies and procedures as outlined by the Safety Manager.
  • Conducts weekly planning to identify staffing requirements, raw material or capacity concerns.
  • Maintains a presence on the floor a minimum of 50% of the time.
  • Completes daily administrative tasks and monitor compliance of the Associates including completing performance management reports, labor reconciliation, Associate scheduling, etc.
  • Communicates the team's performance with the coordinators and group leads. Focus on developing team-based action plans to improve the department.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned.
