About The Position

Under the general direction of the Manager of Support Services, assists in managing and coordinating the operation of a large and/or multiple food service production/service unit(s). Assists manager with supervision of the daily activities of food services department site staff, performance counseling, and corrective action. Oversees catering function, including processing the catering request, planning the catering menu, setting up daily catering production list and ensuring quality standards are met with catered functions. Prepares and serves food as needed. All employees are expected to be pleasant, respectful and courteous in all interactions with patients, families, staff, and visitors of the Institute, as well as being a positive representative of the hospital at all times. Requirements

  • Completion of a food service-related program such as Hotel and/or Restaurant Management or equivalent education/experience.
  • Certified Dietary Manager OR 4 years of food service institutional or restaurant management experience.
  • National Food Handler Card - State County City Authority upon hire.
