About The Position

We are seeking an experienced and motivated lab Supervisor to lead a team of development and test technicians. In this role, you will mentor and develop a team, and ensure work is performed safely, efficiently, and in accordance with quality standards. You will play a key role in supporting engineering development activities and driving continuous improvement within the lab environment.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 4+ years of relevant experience in aerospace labs, manufacturing, or technical operations environment.
• 1+ years of experience in a leadership, supervisory, or team lead role.
• Strong understanding of safety practices and quality standards.
• Proficiency with data tracking, reporting, and productivity tools.
• Excellent organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and manage competing priorities in a fast-paced environment.
• Experience mentoring or training entry-level employees.

Nice To Haves

• Associate or Bachelor's degree in a technical or engineering-related field.
• Ability to read and interpret technical documents, drawings, and procedures.
• Familiarity with lean manufacturing principles or continuous improvement methodologies.

Responsibilities

• Supervise, coach, and develop a team of development lab technicians, fostering a collaborative and high-performing team culture.
• Plan, prioritize, and assign daily work to meet development schedules and program milestones.
• Ensure all lab activities are conducted in compliance with safety protocols, quality standards, and established procedures.
• Partner with engineering teams to support development testing, prototyping, and hardware builds.
• Monitor team performance, provide regular feedback, and conduct performance evaluations.
• Train and onboard new technicians, ensuring proper skill development and adherence to best practices.
• Identify and implement process improvements to increase efficiency, quality, and safety.
• Manage lab resources, including tools, equipment, and consumables, ensuring availability and proper maintenance.
• Maintain accurate documentation, records, and reporting related to lab operations and activities.
• Support root cause analysis and corrective action efforts when issues arise.
• Communicate effectively with cross-functional teams, including engineering, production, and quality.
